Joint Loss Management

JLMC Committee Policy Statement:

  • The purpose of the Joint Loss Management Committee is to bring employees and management together in a non-adversarial, collaborative effort to promote workplace safety and health.  

JLMC Committee Goals and Objectives:

  • To decrease the number of avoidable safety and health-related accidents, injuries, and property damage and losses throughout the 
    District;
  • Eliminate, to the maximum extent possible, occupational and health hazards to District employees by complying with all current occupational safety, health, and environmental laws and regulations mandated by federal, state, and local jurisdictions;
  • Encourage the active participation of all employees in loss management efforts, and;
  • Promote increased efficiency of District services through proven risk management and safety practices, thereby minimizing utilization of tax dollars and improving the quality of life for all employees in the District.
